Skateboard Park Graffiti Gone

The Town of Grande Cache has decided to remove all graffiti on the Recreation Centre beside the skateboard park.  This decision was made after the graffiti became unmanageable and starting turning into vandalism vs art.

The Town partnered with the Junior Forest Rangers Program through their community spirit and volunteering component to have the graffiti painted over.  A number of Junior Rangers came out and helped clean up the skateboard park area.

Effective immediately, there will be no tolerance for graffiti and future vandalism at the skateboard park and area.

The Town has worked on several projects in partnership with the Junior Forest Rangers.  Projects include tree brushing at the golf course and safety cleanup of the corner of the golf course gateway and by the shop area.  The group will also be brushing and cleaning the green space between central park and Shand Avenue before Deathfest, removing some standing dead wood as well as mowing the grass in the area.

Volunteer work from community groups such as the Junior Forest Rangers Program is greatly appreciated from Mayor and Council.
