Welcome to the Department of Development.
The Department of Development has two areas of focus: Land Development and Economic Development.
The office of Development is responsible for managing land administration and maintaining land records in order to ensure that Town land is used in an appropriate manner. The Officer deals with land and land use, researches and processes applications for land use and assists with community land use planning and development.
The office of Economic Development is responsible for facilitating, promoting and ensuring community and economic development in order to secure opportunities for economic and business development and increase local employment. The officer identifies and fosters opportunities; secures funding for activities and programs; assists local organizations, businesses and individuals with plans and projects; and promotes the community to expand economic development opportunities.
